Carroll Cave Conservancy
Organizational Budget
March 2001

The Carroll Cave Conservancy, CCC, currently has $4293 in cash raised through
donations and dues.

The CCC pays no salaries with all operational labor being donated.

The CCC's only long-term obligations are:
Land lease from Greg Fry, $50 for 5-years, next payment due April 2004,
Land lease from Chris Danuser, $50 for 5-years, next payment October 2004
and
Electrical power at drill site (approximately $20/month)

Expenses typically consist of supplies and material related to digging and
preparing the site for drilling and digging (cutting gas, rope, chain, etc.)

The largest expenses have been to have a 9-inch hole drilled into the cave
($500) and to have a backhoe operator place an 8-foot diameter tank at the
drilled hole to shore 8-foot of overburden down to bedrock ($400).  Both the
driller and the backhoe operator have also donated a significant amount of
their time.

Recent donations have included the steel tank to shore the hole, a 16-foot
diameter steel silo that we will ultimately reassembly over the new entrance,
and a 160 CFM commercial air compressor and jackhammer.

Our fund raising goal consists of raising enough to open a 3-foot access
shaft into the cave 120 feet below the surface.  The lowest bid for drilling
the shaft is $20,000.  We also plan to restore a one-room schoolhouse on Greg
Fry's property, one-half mile from the drill site, to use as a bunkhouse.
The restoration may cost $10,000 to $15,000.
