Purpose of Trip---Restoration

details:

We entered the cave at 5:30 p.m. with me being in the lead. All of us used the new ladder to go in. After everyone was in the backdoor our first stop was thunder falls. Everyone was very impressed with it. We looked for some sort of life in the river but didn't see anything. After the falls, we headed down the carroll river passage. We noticed one big rock with spray paint all over it(someone wrote their name on it)not too far into the passage. Futher on in the passage, there are several formations with mud all over them. There is no reason for this but none the less it is there. Closer to the water barrier there are several carbide dumps that need to be cleaned up. These dumps look like they have been there for several years because the carbide is really hard and there is not much dust to it. We stopped at the water barrier and returned picking up trash as we went out. The carroll river passage is a very pretty part of the cave and can be restored back to its natural beauty  with work, a pressure sprayer, and a little bit of elbow grease!
