Annual Summery Report

 

R / C  Committee Chairman: Michael Hartley

 

Project Priorities:

 

                 (1) To preserve, protect, and conserve the natural resources of Carroll Cave.

                 (2) To enhance and restore the natural beauty of Carroll Cave by developing a Restoration / Conservation  program with definitive projects and tasks.

                 (3) To inform, instruct, and teach Restoration / Conservation methods and principals to the CCC                       membership, and by doing so, creating a better understanding, and a higher consciousness of caving                       issues will be developed on a personal level.

                (4) To developed a program by which non-CCC members with special skills and technical abilities may be   allowed access into the cave for science and research.

 

Projects and tasks preformed since starting the R/C program in Feb 2003.

                (1) Cave assessments.

                (2) Photo documentation.

                (3) Trail marking.

                (4) Restoration and cleanup.

                (5) Site inventories.

                (6) Rescue evaluation

                (7) Intro trips for new members.

 

R /C Project trips -- 14 trips have been made into Carroll Cave from Feb 2,2003 to present.
