                                                        Carroll Cave Conservancy

                                                 Restoration / Conservation Committee

      The purpose of this committee is to develop strategies and methods to support and sustain the restoration and conservation of Carroll Cave, and to produce policies and guidelines for this project. The committee will consist of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, and as many CCC  members as are interested in participating.  There is no set limit as to how many members can be on this committee. All CCC members are welcome to join. This committee will meet twice a year with meeting times and places to be set by the Chairman, and Vice Chairman.  All CCC members can submit proposals to the committee for study and evaluation of restoration and/or conservation projects and priorities.

      All participating members of this Committee will have the right to vote on all proposals to be submitted to the Board of Directors. The majority of votes, consisting of a simple majority of the members voting, will be final. In the case of a tie vote, the Chairman or (Vice Chairman in the absence of the Chairman)  will cast the tie breaking vote. The Chairman or Vice Chairman will present all proposals to the Board of Directors for their consideration and evaluation, with any recommendations they deem relevant to this project. Each approved project  and or task will be under the direction of a committee Project Leader. He or She will oversee and direct operations of the project or task  that is assigned to them, or one of there own choice, depending on avaliability.

      The responsibilities of the Chairman or (Vice Chairman in the absence of the Chairman) will be as follows:

 (1) To chair the Restoration / Conservation Committee and its proceedings.

(2) To set the committee meeting agenda according to the proposals submitted  for consideration.

(3) To present, recommend, and submit proposals to the Board of Directors for their consideration and or vote.

(4) To make the final decision on any proposal in the event of a tie vote.

(5) To appoint committee Project Leaders.   

(6) To recruite CCC members to participate on approved Restoration and or Conservation projects and tasks. 

(7) To maintain an approved list of projects and tasks, and to update this list periodically.
