Help Wanted

We plan to complete 5 blast cycles this weekend.  This will require a full crew Saturday and Sunday. 

Please call or email to sign up for Saturday or Sunday or both.  If we have enough help we could push the bottom down 12.5' this weekend

We also need:

1)  Someone with a trailer to haul our compressor from Osage Beach to the dig. 
2)  Expansion bolts to bolt a ladder to the wall
3)  Storage shelves for the silo

CCC News
1)  Chris Wolters completed the Blaster's Training Seminar taught by Paul Worsey in St Louis last week. 
2)  Joe Schlueter and Cathy Smith from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Wellhead Protection Section, used a specialized video camera system to inspect the wall of the 9" drilled hole on 11/7/01.  Cathy, a geologist, has expressed an interest in helping with our project. 
3)  Matt Sutcliffe brought a fire truck out on 11/7/01 and washed down the sidewall of the 30" shaft.  The clean surface will allow us to see and remove any remaining loose rock.
4)  Paul Worsey has secured a donation of blasting caps form Orica, an explosives supplier.  We now have explosives and caps.

Thanks to Chris, Joe, Cathy, Matt and Paul for their support of the CCC.  And a special thank you to Phil Ming for being there 11/7 to help with the video and water blasting.  Phil made two trips down our 25' hole with a 20' ladder to remove the plug from the 9" hole.  I am thankful for the support we have gotten form people like Joe, Cathy, Matt and Phil, who are not cavers but are still helping with our effort. 

This weekend we need cavers to help with the drilling and blasting.  Please call or email to volunteer.
